Buick is a car brand which is mainly sold in the USA, Taiwan, Israel, Canada and China. Buick car is sold by General Motors Corporation. However there are many Buick dealer also. In all the countries listed above you can find a Buick dealer which specially sells Buick automobiles only. The oldest brand of American car is Buick. Buick is a General Motors’s division and it was founded in 1903. Its headquarters was Detroit, Michigan, USA.

Earlier Buick was originated as an Independent motor car manufacturer which was called the Buick Motor Company. The Buick was started by a Scottish-American named David Dunbar Buick in Detroit. In the starting Buick company was struggling too much. In the same year it was taken over by a person named James H. Whiting (1842-1919). James H. Whiting moved the Buick Company to his hometown Flint in Michigan. In the middle of 1904 a prototype car was built in Detroit. James H. Whiting was very much convinced with its design and mechanism and so he authorizes the production of this model for public. And this same model was the basis of the second model B. In the beginning there was no Buick dealer it was sold by the company directly.

The first model of Buick, Buick Model B which was made for sale was built in 1904. This Buick Model B was designed and built in Flint, Michigan. In the year of 1904, total 37 models we built in Flint by the Buick Company but none of them can be found today. But you can see 2 replicas of the 1904 endurance car at the Buick Gallery & Research Center in Flint, Michigan. Both of these replicas are made of various parts of Buick and there are some fabricated parts also. But the engines of both of these replicas are original Buick’s engines made in 1904.

The first closed-body car of Buick was introduced in 1911. But Ford introduced its closed-body car four earlier than Buick. In the year of 1929 the Marquette model was launched but soon in the year of 1930 it was discontinued also.

The Buick dealer tried to sell Buick’s cars in New Zealand. After getting good response from the public the company decided built a plant in Petone, near Wellington. In Israel, Universal Motors. Ltd was the Buick dealer. This Universal Motors. Ltd also imports other cars of General Motors. The Buick dealer in China played an important role in China in getting success in sale in China. In the year 2006, 876,000 vehicles of Buick were sold in China by the Buick dealer. Due to this huge success a new version of Buick was launched in China only. This new model was Buick Century/Regal and it was sold under Shanghai General Motors.

In the year 2005, Buick decided to launch and market the Australian Holden in China in the name of Buick Royaum. Similarly like this Buick launched its cars in Taiwan also. In Taiwan, General Motors was founded in August 1989. Out of all models 3rd and 4th generation Regal and 6th generation Skylark was very common in Taiwan.
